Hi I have a divx file that has wav audio and my divx player wont play this movie file (no audio) on my divx dvd player as it doeant support wav audio.
I have extracted the wav audio from the divx file. by choosing the save wav option.
I have then converted the wav audio file to mp3.
I now have 2 files.
1 >> mp3 audio file
2 >> divx movie with no audio
all I need to no is how do I mix both of these files togther using vurtual dub ??

Load your original avi in Vdub
Under video click "direct stream copy"
under audio click "full processing mode"
under audio click "compression"
choose mp3
I use Lame mp3 128kbps cbr

VDUB MOd has a stream list inside simply add/chose your MP3, also vdub should work in the WAV mode, change input to all files (try it out plz, I ainīt sure anymore :o )

one methode which alsways worked fine for me is the AVImux-GUI (http://www-user.tu-chemnitz.de/~noe/Video-Zeug/AVIMux%20GUI/index.html)

well, if you don't want to study a lot of things, use avimux is the most convenient.
if you try VDM, then use the VDM 1.5.10.1
run VDM, open the avi, stream - stream list - add - the mp3 file, video - direct stream copy, finally press F7 and the avi will appear :o
