Hi, does anyone know if CCE is optimized to make use of HyperThreading, for Xeon processors and dual Xeons? Thanks.

I'm not sure but I think that CCE-SP doesn't have optimization for dual processors.
It has the same speed on dual Xenon 3.06 Ghz and on Pentium 4 3 GHz.
If you realy want know ask Ray Wallick from Cinemacraft support.

Link to CCE's Page (http://www.cinemacraft.com/eng/cpu.html)
Both CCE SP 2.70/Basic 2.70 support Dual Xeon's but not HyperThreading

Is there any way to find out how much does encoding improve with second processor? Like 10% faster or something like that? I would like to understand how much would the performance improve if I buy another Xeon?
Also is CCE optimised for XP 64 bit?
Thanks.

No, it will work under 32 bit folder but not optimized for 64 bit

From my experience that won't give you any improvement.
I made comparison and CCE-SP had (edit: almost ) the same speed on dual 3.06 Ghz Xenon and on Pentium 4 3 Ghz

so you think this would apply to the new dual core pentiums and athlons?

The other thing to think about is that CCE is not used alone too often....AVISynth...etc. So even if cce will run faster on a dual rig, the software you are feeding it with may not
