i'm trying to encode futurama 30fps ntsc. some times the pattern will be 3-2 but some times it's 4-1. i also notice repeating frames. what's the best way to encode this? any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi-

what's the best way to encode this?

Not having ever worked with Futurama, I'd say to make your D2V at 29.97fps, and then IVTC it. What's the FILM percentage at the bottom of the D2V? If low or 0.00%, then IVTC. If 100% FILM, or close to it, then ForceFILM, but I doubt it's that easy.

Using Mode=2 inside of Decimate is usually a good idea when encoding animation. Read the Decomb manual for more information.
