I thought this issue was fixed but I guess not. I've done Summer Of Sam R1 with many many version before same error everytime. I thought I;d try it with 93.2. When it changes to chapter 2 it starts about 20 sec after that. There's a couple blips in the audio and then it becomes out of sync with the video. This is not a cheap media issue just to clarify. And there was no preprocessing done of any sort.

The original plays ok, The ripped files play fine and the dvdrb files play fine on the computer. I also tried Summer of Sam on a v4 PS2, Samsung DVD-R10 and a philips DVP642. On all these other standalones they work fine its just my problematic Pioneer DV-343

I have a pioneer DV-05, Pioneers 2nd DVDPlayer they made and a DV-59-AVi...2 great DVD Players but 2 of the pickyest machines in the world (IMO)... the problem sounds like your Pioneer and/or media/burner.... I have 4 burns, a Lite-On 811s, Nec ND-2510 and 2 Plextor PX-716a's... just about everthing I burn in my Lite-On will not work right in my Pioneers but if I use the same media in my Nec... 99% of the time it will work... if I burn a disc with my Plextors... No Problems at all in any of my Players with any media.

It's not a media issue nor is it a problem with the dvd player. I use a pioneer 106D for burning. I only have problems with this particular DVD and I'm 95% sure its a problem with DVD rebuilder. Please jdobbs look into this

Some time ago I had lots and lots of dropouts/stutter on my JVC and Pioneer standalone but since version 0.88 (or some like that) I have never had any problems at all.
Jdobbs fixed that problem.
It must be your standalone or your burner, as I have not had any probs for very very long.
By the way, the "out of sync issue" I have never had myself.

@gizzin
I did Summer of Sam R1 last night, and just finished going through it. It played fine. I looked at the output using VOBEDIT and IFOEDIT and I could find nothing unusual... sorry -- I'm not sure what to tell you.

hmm... strange I'll see if I can pick up a used DV-343 relatively cheap If I can I'll send it ya. What setup did you use when you encoded it?? 5.1 is the only audio on the DVD?
