View Full Version : DTS Encoding w/ Besweet

Hi,

I know Besweet doesn't support naturally, but using the BeSweet GUI it's able to do so... So I installed azidts, and surcode CD / DVD DTS pro and changed the paths in the gui accordingly..

My plan is to re-encode a 25fps DTS track to a 23.976fps DTS track. So I set to 768kbit, and output to DTS, and click on DTS to DTS.. and this happens :( :

and in the logfile it looks like this :

try doing it in 2 steps
output to 6 waves and then encode these to dts

downmix overflow is not a bug...It's just a warning. ;)

btw, I aggree with E-Male. Try to do this in 2 steps.

Thanks for the fast answers

I tried to just decode the dts audio in commandline :

azidts -core( -input RHCP.dts -output RHCP.wav -logfile RHCP.txt -2ch )
(2ch just for testing)

but i end up with the same error (as in the picture) :( ... are there any special drivers azidts needs? i just downloaded the zip from doom9 and extracted it into a dir.

edit : I did some research and it seems like you need WinDVD installed.. but that doesn't seem the case cause i've got Intervideo WinDVD Platinum 6.0 installed... which should be ok, i hope.

Yes...You must have WinDVD installed but not the trial version. Plus, you need to install dtssource filter from Guliverkli project (http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=82303&package_id=84802&release_id=163323).

Thanks, hope this does the trick.
I downloaded it, but there's only a .ax file in it, no nfo or similar.. azidts' readme also doesn't point out where to put it...

Can u tell me how i can "install" it ?

edit : win/sys32... still no go... i try reinstalling windvd.. will see what happens.

You must register this filter. Goes to Start --> Execute and write regsvr32 dtssource.ax in the shell :)

Thanks, that's it... working fine now :) I did the encoding steps manually as you suggested.. Only got one 'problem' : I encoded with Surcode DVD Pro DTS , selected DTS padded (*.dts), 48khz , and 768kbit... The result sounds fine, but is double the size as the original .dts-file was... (700mb before (same bitrate) , now about 1.5gb) but powerdvd states it's 768kbit... but according to the size it seems like 1.5mbit to me...(file is 2h 6mins) is this a bug in surcode ? or am i doing something wrong ?
