I just started learning about how do convert DV video into a DVD file. I learned how to make an Avisynth Script to make it CCE compatible. The problem is that it is so slow when rendering. its going at .50RT speed, and with 4 passes in CCE, it will take about 10 hours to encode 1 hour of AVI video.
I did all my editing in Adobe Primiere 6.0 before the encoding, and there was an option to export the movie using CCE directly in Priemiere itself, but I figured i shouldnt mess with that option as it wasnt listed in the DV to DVD guide.
I later heard from someone on #doom9 that Avisynth is not SMP capable, while CCE and Adobe Primiere are. I have two AMD athlon 1900+ MP chips running so I could take advantage of this if I were to use the CCE plug-in in Adobe Primiere itself directly.
The only thing i am concerned about is the quality. Does it matter if CCE is used with Avisynth (with all its extrenal filters and whatnot... that i am using but have really no idea what they are for)or in Primiere?
