Pardon my ignorance, but is this an mpa/mp2 audio track that can't be encoded looks like? I thought I read in the FAQ that mp2 audio would be transcoded to mp3. Was this a feature that was dropped when AutoGK swapped out BeSweet? Thanks!

Hi,

Can just tell you I recently had sources (capture) with 1 mpa audio that encoded fine to mp3 vbr with AGK 2.08.
Maybe try another source (with mpa audio) to confirm your problem.

O.T.- If you have choice (HD space) between mpa or PCM audio use PCM for capture; there is a significant loss of quality with mpa or upgrade to videostudio9 (or other) with ac3 included.

Okay. I looked in my agk_tmp directory and found the .mpa file. I "listened" to it and it seems complete. Any clues as to what broke down in the Audio Encoding? Thanks!

@whcanilang, Try encoding the *.mp2 file with BeSweet and enable logging (add to command line, -logfile "C:\xxx\MyLog.log") to see if there is something wrong with the file (Maybe some error which is transparent to you, but b0rks in the encoder).

OT: Does anyone know why BeSweet was removed from the AutoGK installation? Any links? Changelog doesn't say anything.

Hi,

Len0x does know :)
What I remember is related to audio tools and he preferred to have different line scripting(without GUI) tools ... something like that.

Err..but BeSweet too is CLI, and you never need to use its GUI unless you need to (like how it had been till now in AutoGK). Since which version is this gone? I had never noticed till now, but a look at my installation directory confirms it.

Thanks, gotcha :D ..Embarassingly let me admit that the two biggest threads on AutoGK, 'AVI input in AutoGK' and the 'current version' one, I don't follow at all. Big mistake, I see. Now I will keep an eye out. It will also be interesting to test the end filesize, I see you have already tested the bitrate and Q-factor.

I should really let you rest now, but not before you tell me how come you called me USB.:)
