We start new project "Compression-links.info" (supported by MSU Graphics&Media Lab):

http://www.compression-links.info/

This site was created as a live collection of freely submitted links to the data compression resources and to the resources on video, image, and audio processing as well. The original set of links was granted by Mark Nelson (started in 1998).

Currently added features:
* More than 2400 links
* Languige categories
* Search

Now, after several updates it's bigges compression links collection.

Any links (especially for national sites in English) are welcome! :)

Enjoy! ;)

Well, after listening to the song more times than there are ways to leave your lover, Mom ranked the new WMA 9 64Kbps VBR format just behind the original CD, followed by WMA 9 48Kbps standard, WMA 8 64Kbps, and, finally, MP3 128Kbps.
Doesn't say lame though, maybe it's M$ MP3 codec that just plain sucks :D

Could also be one of those tests where they manage to come up with the worst possible lame settings ever.
