how to save video content

hi, i need soem help. there are tv news provided on the web of one tv channel in the form of playing them in for example wmp. unfortunately it's not possible to save them but i want to get some parts of it and archive them. how do i do it?

Hello Tribun,

Ok here we go (the short version, without the fumbling around ;-) :

- Open the link you provided in Firefox ...

- Click on "Real rychle" (high?), the browser loads the new page,the real-plugin and starts playing ... you can stop that ...
Right-click anywhere in the page and select "show page information" (? sorry, translated from my german firefox version) NOT "show page source" ...

- A new window pops , select the tab called "Media"? (the second from the right) and scroll down to (the longest link in the list) starting with http:// and ending on .ram and select it (single left-click) ...

- On the bottom of the window select "save as" and save the file ...
Open the downloaded file (in notepad ?), copy the link (http:// ... .ram) and paste it in an download-manager which can download via the "rtsp://"-streaming-protocol , i.e. NetTransport or FlashGet (see the thread I already pointed to above) ...

It downloaded an .rm file about 24 MB playable in MPC for example ...

I haven't had any luck with the .wmv-files they provide :( , if you need them and not the .rm-files , I'll investigate further ...
