is there anyway i can capture with vdub from my skystar 2 card

No. But you can use a DVB Program like ProgDVB (Recommended!), MyTheater to record in mpeg-2 filez and then use VDubMPEG2 or VDubMod to apply filters and compress the video using divx/xvid. Good luck.
