A small gui bug. When the video is opened , submenu Video is grey out but still can open it.

What is speed oriented iDCT? 32 bits? and quality oriented is IEEE - 1180?

While DGindex says 99.98% FILM, DVD2AVI says itīs only 74.99% FILM

I just try to encode White Noise and DGindex 1.30 and DVD2AVI 1.77.3 said 99.97%, DVD2AVI 1.9rc3 said 74.99%... odd the same % as IgorC

Yes, I remeber when my nice days started, that was day when I discovered your DVD2AVI and my desynchro problems gone.
Also today my advice to noobies, especialy to those dealing with captured/recorded from -T or S tv channels, let start with this program, but remember to open .mpeg/mpg files set ALL FILES for files open window.
Here is my request to akiza to introduce .mpg .mpeg and may be .ts as defoult file types.
Later I discovered DVD2AVIT3 by trbarry, where resizing problems gone for me, but today having FFdshow also problems with resizing, filtering are resolved within DVD2AVI.
Also luminance filter is very very useful, mainly for films where operators are holy beliving that modern cameras can shoot in total darkness.
No problems with HDTV here, but again ask to akiza to move up operational keys like in Mpeg2Cut2 and possibility to scale/resize down.
At early days of my encoding with PII 300MHz I had a lot of time to study even your personal history, and IMHO it was first blog in the net.
My wish is to connect akiza + trbarry + NIC + DarkAvanger efforts to produce IV or V generation DVD/MPG2AVI.

Once again thank you very much akiza and good luck.

EDIT
May be first contact with DVD2AVI was with 66MHz processor, it was so long ago.
... and presentig new relese candidates of DVD2AVI please make notes in thread title
Please read the word gone as Gone With The Wind
