I have been trying to backup Kill Bill vol. 1. I used DVD decrypter to rip to the hard drive, then DVD rebuilder with CCE... for some reason the new build is only like 3.3 gigs.
What is going on here?

You need to post some more information. Just saying "Hey it's too small" doesn't give me anything to work with...
Are you using movie only, OPV, preprocessing, mid-processing (like RB-Opt), space reduction, or any of the other settings? Is your version PAL, NTSC, Region? What version of DVD-RB are you using? Freeware? Pro? What encoder version (there are about 20 CCE versions)? I did Kill Bill 1 without a hitch -- so you're running something different than my setup...

In addition to the information requested:
You might try running in OPV mode just through the preparation phase (i.e., cancel when you get to the encode phase), copying the log and pasting it here so others can get a fix on the high/low/average bitrate rate and the Q level for the DVD in question. These factors could have a bearing on final output size.
EDIT: I just re-read JD's post and notice that he has already processed this movie without a problem so the suggestion above is probably not an issue. It does sound like there might be some pre-processing or set-up vagaries.
