View Full Version : Nero AVC decoder and overlay mixer 2

it seems the nero avc decoder always forces the useage of the overlay mixer2 filter in the directshow graph

of course om2 is a good thing as it should make the decoding faster (very important for avc) and allows anamorphic resize, but still, as some might know, older nvidia graphic cards, like my good ol' tnt2, had problems with these overlays, resulting into choppy playback

so my question is: is there a way to make the nero decoder not use the overlay mixer2 or is there a player that can block using om2 even if the nero decoder wants to use it?

thx :)

using tcmp you can Options=>Preferences=>General=>DirectShow Summoner=> e.g. Video Mixer Renderer 9
(works fine over here)

vmr9 doesnt work, as it shows the same behaviour as with om2: choppy playback, i think its maybe caused by the same bug nvidia has with overlay

blocking om2 simply with mpc also doesnt work, as than the nero decoder doesnt want to work anymore
