You've got issues with DMA.

Change your IDE cable for a different 80 wire one.

Ensure the drive is either Master or Slave, not on 'Cable Select' (jumper wise I mean).

Update your motherboard bios

Update your motherboard chipset / IDE drivers.

Uninstall your IDE controller from within Device Manager and reboot.
