Hi folks,

this may sound strange to you, but despite tmpegdvd author does a faily good job considering the )simple) dvd I want to author, there is a small problem I have to work out a solution for.
The story is that I want to include two titles in a dvd with no chapters. So I put them and create a simple menu which just have to pop up upon insertion of the dvd into the player, letting you choose which title you want to play. Well i can do it easily but it turns out that the main menu created is a TITLE menu and not a ROOT menu. Now my player does not include a button to jump directly to the title menu, but it does have one to jump o the root menu.

So is there a way to change this? How can i tell tmpegenc dvd author that i want a roo menu instead of a title menu? Or can I change that once the dvd has been written to my HDD, using ifoedit?

thanks for your kind help,

Ferran.

This is real simple with PgcEdit.

Open the dvd with PgcEdit.
Right click on VTSM_1 and select "New Menu".
Right click on VTSM_2 and select "New Menu".
Save it and your done.

It would seem that the easiest way to do it would be to select a style that has 2 images on it, in create menus.
Put each video on a seperate track, and even set chapters for them.
Then you will have a main menu to choose which video to watch with each having a track menu as well (really helpful to go to a movie section, rather then having to fast forward to it from the beginning).

Make sure when ins;ecting your menus, that the display setting are set to "Show main menu"

Thanks for the tip on editing the ifo, as a solution. ;)
