In the tutorial for Auto GK it says that avi files can play on standalones with ess chipset. In the part about burning to CD it says to use nero. My question is:
If I burn it by just using Windows XP will it still play on a standalone? Or is there a particular burning procedure that enables it to be read by the standalone?
Thanks in advance for your help

I haven't tried the XP routine, but I've burned many using burnatonce and never had a problem. Any Data CD (or Data DVD) seems to work on my DVP642.

Hi-
I just used Nero as an example, as that's what I and many others use, and what I and many others consider the best. It'll work with any burning program that allows you to burn the AVI as a data file. I've never used the Windows CD burning program, so I don't know if it can do that. But if you have a CD burner, maybe it came with a program (even the Roxio EasyCD Creater) which will work for you.

Why not to try? :-)
