Hi,

I'm using DVD Decrypter to rip a movie DVD to my hard disk.

It has all ripped ok except for the last 1% of the 2nd (of 5) VOB file VTS_01_1.vob. I've retried ripping this file several times each after careful cleaning with rubbing alchohol and have set both 'software retries' and 'hardware retries' to their max. It always stops at the same point which is with just approx. 5MB remaining to copy.

Can anyone suggest what I could try to do next? Is there another ripping tool that may help?

Thanks,

Matt

It's very rare for the program to just stop. If it stops, it means your drive has stopped - normally due to it not being able to read the disc - and it's sooooo bad that it cant even return an error (so basically, it's totally stuck!)

As such, copying via explorer would do the same.

My guess is that you need to:

1. Clean the disc.
2. Try it in another drive
3. Get another copy of it.

Sorry it hasn't stopped as such. What I meant was that the read errors and 'abort, retry, cancel' message starts appearing at exactly the same point, I conceptualized this as the stopping point.

Thanks.

Ah ok.

Well, no problem, those 1 2 3 points are still valid!
