How to disable coring on CX23881 chip ?

From my testing I see that CX23881 (just like Bt878) has coring enabled by default. is there a tweak or some kind of registry setting to disable it ?

It gives a method Ted Kunich uses to write directly to the CX registers. You need to be able to compile visual basic to do this. As you can see I even managed to get the CX to do PAL60 using this method, but the downside is that the moment you change any setting the driver will reset the chip to the defaults. It may work, but it is a very involved and user-hostile method.

Coring by default?

What are you using to capture?

The latest from Leadtek doesn't "core" from what I see. In fact, it
does the opposite: it expands the luma.

Currently, my captures have a luma from 0 to 225 which I change to 16-235.

If you're not using the Leadtek PVR then ignore this.
