I've run into an interesting problem with my computer, I'm running XP SP1 and have a QPS DVD-R burner on firewire. Yesterday, my computer started giving me BSOD when I try to play a dvd. I can view the directory of a disk with no problem, doesn't make a difference if it's a commercial disk or one that I've burned.

The last change I made to my system was upgrading the Nvidia drivers, I've since rolled back to the previous version. I'm at a loss as to what could be causing this problem, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Which player do you use?

I've tried them all, MediaPlayer 10, PowerDVD, Intervideo, Real...and the BSOD rarely reports the same reason for the crash, I've seen everything from BAD_POOL_HEADER to TCPIP.SYS, reported as the cause of the crash.

TCPIP.SYS... your system is screwed. Best backup and format.
