I need some soft to view all audio/video codecs installed and selectively uninstall some of them.
Thanks in advance.
PS. the "Codec Installer 1.92" crashes on load so don't suggest that plz.
Google ACEMCP601PRO.exe
Be careful, but it is very useful.

gspot (http://www.headbands.com/gspot/)
[Edit]It cannot de-install, but it can disable/enable them, which is nice for troubleshooting

It cannot disable any of them, it just shows the details.
Nevermind anyway.

Use DXman then, it lets you delete the codecs, not disable them though
Or radlight filter manager, where you can set merits for filters.
DirectShow Filter Manager (http://www.softella.com/dsfm/index.en.htm) - utility to help list, sort, find, add or remove DirectShow filters

i have a couple of tools not capable to uninstall but to set the priority of codes, but are on the other computer now at the shop for repairing....:(
delete codecs is bad, could cause malfunctioning.
I had some trouble with nero decoder and Mplayerclassic, really codecs are becoming a jungle, and players too, and every players picks the codec he likes...

No, not really. Most of the players have custom graph building these days. ;)

Agreed :)
It's a well thought out and very useful application...
Cheers
Side note: The new web site layout looks really good too, which contains a lot of interesting tools, filters and information ;)

Nevermind anyway. You must first enable the expert mode in the options, settings menu. It allows you to un-register filters and influence the order in which they are used by setting the merit.
