data error in decrypting dvd

Hi folks
Hoping someone can advise me on my problem. I have a dvd that will play on both my dvd player and my computer with win dvd, but when i decrypt it with dvd decrypter the very last file will not decrypt. The message failed to read "D;\" data error (cyclic redundancy check)comes up and the decryption stops.Neither dvd 2one1.1 or shrink will then process the decrypted files.as the dvd is a 6 episode dvd if i can't decrypt all 6 can i decrypt 5? Thanks in advance.

are you really saying that the dvd plays fine with windvd (even the last episode), but you cannot read it with deddecrypter? that sounds really weird...

anyway, you should be able to change the ripped DVD so that it has only 5 episodes and then run shrink over those, but it requires some advanced ifoedit (&pgcedit) skills.

I know it sounds wierd but i have tried 4 times to decrypt this dvd now each time the same result. As i am a newbie to the advanced editing what program could i use for your idea? Thanks again.

like i said ifoedit and pgcedit.
obviously pgcedit is a lot easier to use, but it lack some of the capabilities (for those you need ifoedit)...

If you're getting an error, your drive cant read the disc.

It shouldn't matter which program you use to try and read it, they'll all fail.

If you think WinDVD can play the disc (you watched it from start to end - yeah?), I would say the error is in an unimportant file.

Just click the 'ignore' button in DVD Decrypter and let it continue on its way.

Be sure to test different drives with the disc as some read better than others. Obviously you should also give the disc a clean and check it's free from scratches.

Success!!. I have managed to decrypt the complete disc with no errors using the "ignore" suggestion from Lightning U K.Thank you all for your help.

lol if you had to click 'ignore' to an error, it obviously didn't decrypt with 'no errors' ;)
