Vob ID Demux by DIF4U takes 4+ Hours?!

I've been demuxing Alien, R1 for what seems like forever.
There are 91 VobIDs to this titleset - and VSRIP has to run for each and every one of these vobids.

It seems like its running through the entire title for each vob, so even vobs that are like 4 MB are taking 20 mins or so.

Is this normal, or is there something wrong with my setup? FWIW, I've got a pretty sweet rig - typically a demux will take from 20-30 mins by PGC.

nope this is normal....

the current setup of doitfast4u loops each PGC to extract the subs for that particular vobid

so what you end up w/ is 91vobids*XX PGC's = number of passes

I believe eyes`only was working on a change for this but I'm not sure if he ever made it past the initial concept

Well, it's actually coming on 16... and we're only through vobid 42!

I figured that was normal, since there was some talk of a single-pass vobid demux in the forthcoming VIP release of DIF4U.. Looking forward to it..

there's a way around it but you'd have to manually demux the subs....

which.. is what I do :)

how do u do it, d3st? because it's the same for me, demuxed by vobid...took >12 hours :confused:

The version of vsrip that ships w/ Scenaid has a sudo vobid mode to it which I never really finished..

however, if you create a parm file (vsrip's cli input file) in place of of the PGC # the command VOB {#} can be put in there and vsrip will rip that vobid in 1 pass

what I do is disable the ripping of subs in doitfast4u and manually do it

mmm ok, i can see it.
but then it's you have to manually do the entire process of the big-3 or not? i mean, you deselect dif4u to do subrip and then after everything is finished you extract the subs?
looks to me that there won't be enough free space... :confused:
