Why is that when I click on "mark this forum read" in any forum, it brings me back to the main forum? It didn't used to do that before. I really prefer to still be in the same forum after I do it.

How is your 'Mark forum as read - behavior' in 'Edit options' in 'user cp' set?

There should be three options: vBB standard (the one you're looking for), Forum Index (the behavior you do get now) and User CP (for the ones mainly using Subscribed forums)

I've never fiddled with it so it's still at default vBB standard.

Strange.. Then it should return you to the forum you're in. I've just tested this and I do get the correct behaviours when changing this option between 'vBB Standard' and 'Forum index'.

(And we *are* talking about 'Mark this forum read' and not 'Mark All forums read'?)

Mark this forum read. 101% sure.

Update: OK, I found my problem. It was my Zone Alarm Pro firewall.

Mark as read (global) don't mark "General chat" and "new A/V codec" as read. :confused:

Jeez, the "General Discussion" is still not 'Marked as read'... I really dunno why but I guess that I have to stop drinking beer and start thinking about why... But then, on the other hand, I do enjoy a beer (or two) more than debugging....

i can't find this in my 'user cp' ... sorry but where is it exactly ?

also i would like to see 'mark forums read' at the end of 'new posts' page ... if possible

... and the new look is nice (maybe too much blended in icons for me but it's ok)

Same here; I know the "Mark as read"-behaviour is there on some other vBulletin-based forums I know, but not here. I used to be able to return to the User CP on marking, but just now it throws me back to the parent forum...

Ok, did some more hacking... In your User CP, Edit options, way down, there's now a 'semi-new' option that will control the MarkAsRead-return. You have to set this since I wont transfer the old settings (due to the difference in the database).

There's still something wrong. When I click on "Mark this forum read" within DVD Rebuilder (http://forum.doom9.org/forumdisplay.php?f=75) it takes me to the Parent Forum (http://forum.doom9.org/forumdisplay.php?f=49).
