Hi, I have come accross DVD's featuring DTS audio a couple times and I was wondering if there is any addtionall stuff that needs to be done when authoring the DVD back in DVDMaestro.. On the one I have now, I demuxxed the DTS audio in dvd decrypter IFO mode, got the .dts, encoded my video in cce and everyhting and when I re-authored it everything seemed to work, but DTS was the main audio and when I played my DVD without changing the audio, or when playing it on my PC, i couldn't hear sound. I then switched the audio to the next channel (english 2.0) and sound worked. Is that cause DTS doesn't work on PC and only on stand-alone, or did I not rip it properly?

Fianlly, I'm wondering if there is any way to create dummy audio files that will be compatible with DVD Maestro. I've used the little app that makes dummy files with the little picture of the weird guy (can't remember apps' name, and im not home) and it worked fine with Scenarist, but when I try to import them in Maestro I get an error.

Thanks a LOT!

ive only used maestro once or twice.. i prefer scenarist. but i would say that it would surprise me that maestro would accept the DTS file as an asset but not mux it.
as per testing if its there... Most good software dvd players will play dts but not all (also if you ahve the settings wrong it may not..) you may want to explore that. you can only test on standalone if you have a decoder.. if you do burn to rw and test. you can also open the file in vobedit and see if there are audio packets for teh dts stream.

maestro works fine with dts. i've done about a dozen backups with it

you need the dts add-on pack to play it with powerdvd. i don't know about anything else!

oh thanks a lot, that's why it showed the 2 tracks in PowerDVD but didn't play any sound when on the DTS track I guess.

Anyone know how to do a dummy track (like for scenarist) that is compatible with maestro?

Thanks a lot!
