Oversized output using HC

I just don't get it. I attempted to backup Darkness last night using Rebuilder 0.87a/HC 0.14, but I can't seem to get a correct size output. When using standard 2-Pass I get a final value of 4.47GB with OPV I get 5.06GB. Am I missing something? I have done others with little problem, but this one is curious. I also tried it with CCE 2.7/CCE SP 2.7 and both produced correct size DVDs. So I don't think the problem lies with Rebuilder, but I could be wrong. It certainly wouldn't be the first time :)

HC doesn't have any kind of 1-pass rate control implemented.

it has constant quantizer with an optional VBV check. this means filesize is all-but completely unpredictable unless you do a 2-pass first, scan it with bitrateview to get the average quantizer, then feed that number into HC's constant quant mode (also, in my limited tests, it seems to run slow enough to make it better to just use 2-pass).

Go to the DVD Rebuilder forum and look at the "Sticky DVD Rebuilder: Setting page 2 by "Wmansir". It tells you how to set your
TargetSectors in the ini file for Rebuilder to compensate for going over or under. I use TargetSectors=2263000 and get 4471 megs using HC encoder. I use TargerSectors=2264000 in QuEnc to get the same output.(I have no problems burning up to 4480Mb but I leave a little cushion with HC) It seems HC overshoots a bit but gives great results:)
