I have experienced a problem where the last frame a cut will momentarily freeze or hang just enough to be annoying. I've searched the forums, and can't seem to find an answer. This seems to happen on scenes with more action movement, but of course it would also be more noticeable there too, thus it could be happening elsewhere, but always on the frame preceding a cut. I realize we are not talking film frames any more at the DVD level, but this is the easiest way to describe what is happening visually. It must be the transition from cell to cell. It is not necessarily happening at chapter points. I just had this happen on "The Good Thief". No problems anywhere else on this particular burn.
Decrypted (file mode) DVD Decryptor 3.5.2.0
Nero Burning Rom 6.6.01
BenQ 1620 with inexpensive Teon DVD+R media at 8x
This should have been very straightforward. It is simply the 6x9 side of a double sided DVD 5. No reauthoring was done. I see the problem on PowerDVD, WinDVD and my standalone Toshiba SD1600.
Is there some setting in Nero that might be causing this? I'm not fond of the program in general, but have been using it more lately. Had to set Nero to burn with book type DVD-Rom for recognition by Toshiba. Used a DVD-Video compilation in Nero rather than ISO. Any ideas?
