I'd like to ask , can I play .NSV files in other players , different of winamp (Such as WMP, Media Player Classic or RealPlayer)? is there an NSV direct show filter?
I've tried with installing all vp* codecs, but nothing worked. The vp5 plugin for real also didn't work.

Should work in mplayer.

probably only mplayer's windows build, vlc only for vp3 streams

iirc ffmpeg is also able to playback nsv files,...

VLC works for VP1 and VP3. But most of the times NSV streams use VP6 which is not supported by VLC yet.
And yes, FFMPEG should work for NSV.

err there wasn't vp < 3 ;), ot but earlier their codecs were called truemotion

yeah i'm sorry about that :D my fault
actually to be more precise ususally aol streams use vp5/dolby aac and other commercial streams vp6
