Even not having the muscular procesor it is possible to record and enjoy HDTV.
Instal MyTheatre 2.76 old and free one.
With GraphEdit build the graph as on picture:

Run MyTheatre on any video channel, set video off, switch to HDTV chanel, in GRAPHs switch to above graph, this will start recording.
To stop recording switch back to normal graph.
As result you will gettwo records video and audio.
Open video file in VDM, add audio stream, set audio interleaving as -600.
For very dynamic sport event set in FILTERS deinterlace to discard field 1 or 2.
In video compression go to ffdshow video codec set RESIZE to 960x540 or 720x416, set another parametrs and SAVE AS.
Sample with 960x540 deinterlaced by discarding field 1 can be dowloaded
