Hey guys, I'm new to dvd shrink (Even confused by some buring terms).
Here's the problem: I backuped a movie on my desktop computer last night using dvd shrink (I choose burn with nero, and the burner is sony external one). No error occured.

I was backing up a movie today on my notebook and the sony burner was connected to the notebook using i link cable(Also burn with nero). Analyse and encoding was fine, but the software hangs at 5% and 2% (I tried twice)when actually buring the dvd.

Then I opened nero express with the failed disc in the burner, I got this message: The selected track uses a diffrent file system(UDF/ISO9660) from the document type (ISO9660) you have selected. Do you want nero to change the document type for you?
(I also got this message one time after failed to make a data dvd)

What do you think the problem is and how do I correct this? (I installed nero on both of my computer not far ago and I didn't change any of the configuration so I'd think the buring environment would be the same except the burner is connected to my desktop using the USB cable and to my notebook using i link)

Any input is appreciated!

either update nero or what I suggest is just burn with dvddecrypter.

I'm also fairly new to DVDShrink. And I also have Nero Express. But I have had great success just making an ISO file on the hard drive with DVDShrink. It will burn flawlessly with DVDDecrypter. You can also set DVDDecrypter to read the disc after burning to check the data.

You might find you'll need DVDDecrypter at some point anyway -- because it is better at reading problem DVDs.

I've heard that Nero Express doesn't work with DVD Shrink in automated process. You can still burn it separately in Express though. Have you selected DVD-Video Files and your DVD burner?

When I use Shrink with Nero to burn I have no problem. Although you have to keep the program updated and they have those Hugh files to download.
In Shrink just select Backup, Target Device, then select backup Target and make your choice. My says, " Burn with Nero E: HP DVD writer 420n". You can of course use the DVD Decrypter option which gives flawless results. I never have to go into Nero Express this way,
Unless I am burning already encoded files with DVD-RB.

I would go with mrbass suggestion he's The Man. His guides have enlightened me many times:)
