Let me start off by stating what my desired result will be: Taking pictures and compile a movie with them. I will transition in between pictures and hold each for about 6-8 seconds depending on amount of overall pictures and desired length of video. I am going to dub music over in the background during the process and insert titles (not for every picture). The current way of me doing this process is caveman like :p. I wanted to know how others were going about doing what I mentioned above, and what programs and cameras were being used. I've looked into pinnacle studio 9 as an option with a decent digi cam (5+ mpixels) and a big memory card/ filling the mem card unloading pictures onto computer, clearing card for next batch of pictures/ and once all pictures are on the computer composing the video. The video will be finally submited in DVD or VHS (mostly DVD), I'm open to any suggestions and appreciate your time. I tried to convey everything I could in a somewhat short message and don't think I left any of my key goals out. Thanks again

Try Proshow Gold (here) (http://www.photodex.com/products/proshow/) .
I've had good results with it.

When I've done this, I've used Ulead VideoStudio. Like many other consumer NLEs, it can create slideshows with music, burn DVDs/SVCDs/VCDs with simple menus, and, because its for consumers, also can manage a DV capture.
I'm moving this from the analog capture forum to NLE, where you'll get many more opinions.

Thanks for the replies, I think I found a camera (Canon SD500 7.2 Megapixel) still looking through programs, anyone that has used pinnacle and any others please let me know what your comparisons were, and again thanks for the replies.
