Hi @all
I tried to reencode the menu of The 5th Element. And when it starts to reathor the dvd in scenartist at the end I got the error:
Info
Info Creating DVD Files
Info Creating DVD data (VMG Language)
Info Preparing to multiplex track VID_Dummy_Menu_t
Info Creating Multiplexer info
Info Multiplexing
Info Multiplexing VOB Main Stream
Info Creating DVD data (VTS Language) VTS#01

Warning Multiplex is terminated at 00:00:01;05, but expecting end time is 00:00:34;17. Please check video data file or track "VTS_1_001_t".
Error Size of Vob file "C:\DVDVolume\Batch_1\mux_data\\ScenaristScript27_1.scn-VTS_1_001_t_t.vob" mismatch. Please contact technical support.
Error MuxFromDB:MuxVTS failed
Error Multiplex failed
Error DVD files could not be created
The Importing in the Beginning works fine, just the exporting is giving me this error. I am using Numenu 2.06 with Scenarist 2.7
Could anyone give me some advice why the multiplexing failed in the end?

sizemismatch usually indicates an audio problem. audio that didnt fare well after the rip/dumux process. usually having the crc error option on will fix that. you can try running the process again while zeul is examining the files

the script is fine. track 1 has only video and audio - no subs. therefore probably an intro or similar. So i agree with trahald, there is a corrupt stream. if you manually drop these:
C:\DVDVolume\D_VTS_01_0\NEW_M2V\001.m2v
C:\DVDVolume\D_VTS_01_0\DEMUXED\1-001.ac3
into the data section was does scenarist tell you?
do you have the audio settings to correct audio delay and what are your other audio settings?

Well again I sovled the problem but it hadn't be possible without your help. First I tried to reimport the 2 files you mentioned and tried to recompile it. But again the same error and it said, that the file length mismatch. It said that it should be about 35 sec and I checked the file and it only was about 2 secs. SO I thought that something went wrong in encoding part and I change the encoder and used the free quenc encoder instaed of cce. And voila it worked without a flaw :)
Well thanks for your help without it I woulnd't have worked out that the above mentioned file has been corrupted during the encoding. Now my question is why does cce corrupt the file while quenc does the job ? :D

can you post the ecl file in the frameserving folder. the important elements are the encode last frame part for the first section (which will 001.m2v). Perhaps the ecl is at fault. what version of cce have you used?

well first I used version 2.70.01.05 which caused the corruption. Then I tried version 2.66.00.27 which didn't worked, it didn't start the encoding process and last but not least I tried it with the good old 2.5 and it worked but. It seems that it doens't use my bitrate settings. Because I set it in the option to cbr and average bitrage 500 so to maximize the space for the movie but the menu was encoded with average bitragte of 2.5 mbit.
Well I already deleted all the files so I can't send you the ecl file. But do you know what causes cce 2.5 to use such a high bitrate although I set it to 500?. I am just curious because If I could solve this problem I would be very happy. At the moment I am shrinking the menus with menushrink 2.1 in still menus.

Hi @all
Error Size of Vob file "C:\DVDVolume\Batch_1\mux_data\\ScenaristScript27_1.scn-VTS_1_001_t_t.vob" mismatch. Please contact technical support.
Error MuxFromDB:MuxVTS failed
Error Multiplex failed
Error DVD files could not be created
I had the same problem, switching encoder did not resolved it.
My knowledge of scenarist is equivalent to 0 and i have no understanding of what it does:
by editing the placeholders of corrupted track "Data -> Place holder" and then switching back to "Place holder -> Data", will change the duration of that track and it will compile further.
Just thought i share this, in case someone experience same problems.

yu could also use muxman instead of scenarist. Maybe you have better luck with that.

that vobsize mismatch as stated in this thread is because sometimes demuxed ac3 comes out with errors. its just the way dvddecrypter handles some vob streams. ac3delay corrector doesnt fix so now we are using delaycut to correct delays and in the process prepare the stream. (new doitfast4u does) also scenaid uses delaycut as well if you have the ac3 option (add silence to pgc/vob demux) on... and of course use scenaid.
when you do data->place holder placeholder->data.. scenarist rereads the ac3 and declares the end where it finds the first error. now this does allow you to succesfully mux the file (now scenarist knows exactly the right filesize).. however, its truncating your audio.. if its not important audio or was only silence it doesnt matter. just fyi

Agree with Trahald. Maybe the problem is in AC3 audio, not the same lenght as video.
Scenaid solves this adding silence to PGC or VOBID.
BTW the original menu has PCM audio?
