Hi

I have recently been having probems with my dvd backups. I have created the 4.7GB ISO image fine and have burned them using dvd decrypter. The images have burned but when i come to play them their is corruption and skipping.

I have confirmed the ISO is ok by mounting it as an CD drive and playing it using Power dvd.

I have started to verfiy writen data on the dvd after writing.

I want to make sure the dvd is ok before i delete the image.

Is there are software that will check the dvd to see if there is any corruption?

I know i could watch the dvd but this is not always possiable.

Thanks in advace.

at least i make a md5 of the src files and compare those with md5 from the files from the dvd. obviously this is not 100% proof, but gives an idea, what the pc is able to read...

thats a good idea.

What do you use to make the MD5?

When you say you started to verify data on your written discs, do you mean you ticked the "verify" box in DVDDecrypter?

When you experience corruption of playback, are you using a standalone player or are you playing it using your burner? If it is the former, you might be seeing incompatibilities between the media and the drive in your standalone.

More than likely this is a media problem. See http://forum.digital-digest.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=44912

What media are you using (media ID not brand)?

i think i have sorted the problem.

I think i got a bad batch of dvds. I am using Tuff Disc dvds.

I have sent the dodgy discs back and should be recieving some more.

My dvds are starting to come out ok now, am doing the verfication in dvd decryptor and they seem to work ok.
