Hi fellows,

I have small problem :(
i have VTS_01_0.VOB which contains movie menu.
I have to shrink (reencode?) that particulair file. However any attempt resulted so far with loosing menu capability - it becomes movie :(
Any ideas, suggestions ??
Thanks a lot

try with NuMenu or MenuShrink and with the mystical search button

A bit further but still a long way to go ...

MenuShrink is not the thing I need :(
The NUMenu did something:
1) the size is almost the same
2) everything is in pink ?! no idea what happened

I shall make some adjustments and give another try ...

Is it possible to extract single stream (m2v) from vob file, reencode it to get it smaller and finaly put it back to vob without loosing menu ??

Thanks a lot

try using dvdshrink to transcode only the menus(custom ratio) and set everything else to no compression. this can save you around 200mb. the quality may be poor but it's a menu is it that important?
or if you really want to do some work look at the guide (http://dvdguides.netgeekhosting.com/guides/edit_menu/). some steps may be irrelevant and you would have to add some too, like demuxing the video(m2v) and reencoding it but it gives you an idea.

go with dvdshrink. :)

What settings did you use - you do have avisynth installed i presume, i have NEVER heard of anyone getting a pink result.
