Ocean's Twelve and Shrink

My typical procedure for backing up DVD's is to use Decrypter first then Shrink to strip the movie itself.

Decrypter backed up Oceans Twelve to my HDD fine, but when using shrink to reauthor, I get:
"Failed to write file "...\VTS_01_1.VOB"
The request could not be performed because of an I/O device error.

This is the first time I've seen this.

Any ideas?

OK, I changed my target drive to my C rather than my G (my typical drive that I send stuff to) and it worked.

I don't get it.
Is my drive dying?
