Hi, I've just bought The GodFather pt. II and would make a backup into a dual layer dvd.

The original movie is into 2 dvds, so I used DVDshrink to throw away all menus and extras and now would join'em into ONLY ONE VTS. I'll compress it using CCE later, to reach 8,5 GBs.

My problem is that TMPGEnc 1.6.23.73 doesn't allow me to do this because of the size (less or more 10 GB) and I can't make it ignore that.

What authoring software can I use to join them ???? DVDRemake Pro, creates 2 titles......not one!

Thanks in advance
Joe

DVDLab Pro.
Author the whole thing, then use Shrink again to make it fit.

This (http://italian.doom9.org/dvd-structure.htm) is why it will not work. As you can see you would get a VTS_01_1.vob ~1 gig
and for 10 gig there would be a VTS_01_10.vob which isn't possible.
So to get it in to 1 VTS you have to use cce first to get it under 9 Gigs.

Depends on how you use DvdReMake Pro. If you use "Append PGC" to append movie PGC from the second disk to the first - you will have one right after another.
