How to detect QPEL?

Hi. I'd like to detect if a Divx/Xvid file is encoded with QPEL. How can I do this?

My mistake, I should have written that the latest beta of GSpot helps :). The last stable version (2.21) doesn't have the functionality.

ffdshow's OSD also shows these things (and for example the used gmc warppoints...)

It's a longshot, but can anything detect that Trellis has been used, or what matrix numbers were used? Would that be possible to detect?

afaik, Trellis cannot be detected. As for the matrices used, when you load the avi into MPEG Modifier and press the 'Video Info' button, the matrices used will be displayed as below:

Trellis can't be detected. It's not a feature of the mpeg4 standard, but rather an encoding algorithm.

Matrices can be detected ( since you need to know the matrice for playing back the video ). MPEG4 Modifier should be able to tell you what matrices have been used.
