View Full Version : Overlay() function bad quality issue

I am encoding screen capture video. It is video recorded from PC and intended to be played back on PC. When I use Overlay() to place a watermark on my video, the colour quality becomes terrible and despite all kinds of colour conversions that I have tried it still maintains a bad colour scale.
Is there any way to circumvent this or to fix it at all?

Post your script and screenshots of what your problem is.

I had a likewise problem with overlaying RGB24 pictures. I converted them to YUY2 (or YV12, i don't remember) before using overlay. Then the colours stayed correct.

Unfortunately this does not work, this just prevents the overlay images from blending properly because their colour range is obscured as well so it looks even worse.

Hmmm, that's strange, I posted a reply saying that I found a way to fix it, and yet that reply has now gone. Well, suffice it to say, I fixed it ;)
