Separate fields

I don't know how to use this.

It says if you get it "wrong" try using assumeTFF or assumeBFF before. When you use this can you look at the video in VDubmod and see the fields?
This site, http://www.100fps.com/, says when you use this you have fields instead of frames. I don't see any difference when I bring it into Vdubmod. I see a movie which is half the size it was and that's it.
I want to use this so I can deinterlace with smooth deinterlace.

This site, http://www.100fps.com/, says when you use this you have fields instead of frames. That's right. The filter splits the fields and places each one in a frame by itself. Since a field has half the lines of a full frame, the frames in VirtualDub will be half height.
I don't see any difference when I bring it into Vdubmod. I see a movie which is half the size it was and that's it. Those are the fields.
I want to use this so I can deinterlace with smooth deinterlace. You're good to go; just do it.
