Encoding Preview

Hello, folks

Is there any GUI or other plugin that shows the encoding preview, so we could have a overall in the encoded frames? VirtualDubMod only shows previews "before-vdubmod-filtering" and "after-vdubmod-filtering", but not "after-codec-encoding".

I did some searching here, found a lot of threads, but none of them answers my question and this one is really banging my mind.

@buzzqw: Tks for answering so soon. But I really want is a kind of a "XviD Preview Window", not exactly (another) AVS Filter, since AVS filtering comes before Xvid (or any other codec) encoding... for AVS previewing, just turn on any VDubMod output window...

@Doom9: Sorry, I did some mistake while writing the message: please consider this "after-vdubmod-filtering", but not "after-codec-encoding". I've already edited the first post.

The difference is that we'll probably lose some image quality after the codec (XviD) compression, specially if we are using low bitrates or other kind of settings.

The previewing of VDubMod doesn't show me at real time the lose of the quality of any codec; compressing the same AVS script with different codecs should generate real different results... that's what I would like to see in real-time.

So what you're saying is you want to see what the encoded stream looks like as the compression process is taking place?
That's actually not a bad idea but I'm not sure how you'd do it. I'm guessing the stream would have to be passed to a decoder as well as written out to disk and the frames shown would be out of order due to the way B frames are encoded.
But still it would be nice if someone could do it. :)

Oh yeah, I forgot about graphedit. The sample infinite pin tee does the job nicely.
