Problems with Q DLT8k

As title says, S (v2.7) just wont recognise the Quantum 8k tough i can use it for any other application, regularly write images with it via Encore, etc. What could be the problem here?

I have Adaptec 19160 scsi controller with Quantum DLT8000, running on WinXP, sp1, aspi 4.72 installed, adaptec driver for scsi card, dlt using quantum drivers, etc. Still nothing. Could someone please give me some advice how can I make the darn DLT work? Pretty pretty please?

More then likely it has it's own internal device database and isn't using generic DAT calls

Try reducing the Max transfer rate of your adapter to 80.You can do that from the Adapters Bios. I remember having the same problem and that was the answer.
