Cropping queations in GK

Hi. I have this movie that I want to rip to XviD format. The problem is, it has subtitles embedded in the VOB. I follow the guide and everything is perfect until the auto-cropping step. When I do this, the last line of the subtitles get cut out. That spoils everything because the movie is part German and part English. My question is which crop option should I use and how? Is it 'Pixel'. In that case, which of the two vertical height options should I adjust, is it the one on top or the bottom. It is a 4:3 movie with black bars on the top and bottom (Letterboxing?). The subtitles are in the bottom of the frame and they get cut out. Thanks.

Yes, use the Pixel Crop (top and bottom) to cut away all the black bars from the top, and the bottom part up to where the subs begin. Check the Aspect Error, and if necessary, cut a bit more from the sides and/or top to get it down to about 0.5% or better
