Im coming up with a profile I can use in Dr Divx for high quality transcoding of DVD media for personal use backups that I can playback on my DivX home threatre certified player.
I keep the original AC3 6 channell sound - I know this might breach some playback but my KISS DP-1500 will do playback on this. I cant loose my 5.1 enocding, 2 channell MP3 is no comparison.
Certification level ticked
High bit rate given space limitations
Slow encode performance
2 pass encode
Adaptive Single Bi-directional coding
Dont do Source Pre-processing as the original source is digital and ok
Fast Psychovisual Enhancement
Progressive format
300 frame keyframe interval
50% scene change threshold
I keep the resize to auto as I dont want to crop or resize the original 16:9 image
