I have noticed that many of my movies ripped with DVDshrink (movie only, no compression) have a timestamp problem which I have been unable to correct or fix.

If you demux the video stream and ac3, for reauthoring or recoding, the time duration of both is way off, as if you where playing 29.97 material at 23.97. For exmple, Man on Fire is about 1:57 but the resulting ac3 and m2v file report to be 2:25. (factor of 29.97/23.97) This causes problem for any reauthoring program. I have been able to use dgindex with raw frame output to recode the video(ignores flags), but I have been unable to correct the ac3 stream. It seems to play OK like in PowerDVD, but you notice that the duration of the file changes (gradually from 2:25 to 1:57)as the ac3 plays (if you have it show file info in the window). DVDshrink must do something with the timestamps?

Help, any ac3 stream corrector. AC3fix finds no bad frames. Maybe DVDshrink adds frames to ac3?

Begging for direction

The DVD Shrink FAQ lists an AC3-Problem (http://forum.digital-digest.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=24070) with some tips on how to fix em. Maybe it helps.
