I have tried to backup the 1st Season of 24. I used DVD shrink with no compression to copy the whole DVD on my hard disk. Then I used DVD-RB with 3 pass CCE encoding. the result is, that there are many blue and green artifacts in the episodes. When I do the same on an other Computer, this does not happen. What causes the bad Quality???

Are you sure you have exactly the same settings in both computers?

Please check specially if in the computer giving bad results you have not chosen Half D1 & Hlaf Space for extras or Steal Space from extras

no, I have none of the 2 options selcted!! I'm really sure, that I have made the same sttings. I have installed CCE on both computers, with out changing something (settings or other things). Then I installed DVD-RB, selected the right CCE Version, made the settings for the MPEG2Dec3dg.dll. First PC: Athlon XP 2400+ (the one with the artifacts) second PC Athlon 64 2800+ (works).

Most probably you have different versions of the auxiliary programs RB uses: Avisynth / MPEG2Dec3dg.dll

HAve you made a good backup of other DVD in the +2400? to be sure that setup is working

Check the output sizes of the VOBs in both backups. If the setting were the same, thy should be equal.

Make a clean instalation. Delete RB, Avisynth and other programs and install anew. Use Rockas installer for install RB (will install the right version ofDGDecode.dll instead of MPEG2Dec3dg.dll)
