ok, all my dvds are always widescreen, some anamorphic, some not...i want the output's resolution sizing, etc. untouched...just wondering if there are any settings here that would conflict with each other somehow? source is always 16:9, 720x480 NTSC

this is what i am guessing to do for my movies
-fixed with 720 resolution
-tune autocrop parameters' threshold to 0
-over input AR to 'original'
-force sharp mpeg matrix
-force itu resize
-correct color if need: accurate

ok, i ONLY watch my xvid's on my standalone Phillips DVP 642 on 16:9 tv(very rarely on 4:3 tv), so i dont care at all about how it displays on PowerDVD, etc.

are these good universal settings for the majority of my movies?
in regards to the itu resize, whats the best considerin i watch exclusively on my standalone player and on 16:9 tv? i would assume "force itu resize"?

sorry for the nuisance with all the 'itu resize' questions about whether or not i should "force itu resize" as i usually would...and yes i read the sticky...but it gets confusin...not cuz im sorta new...but mostly because it only adresses stuff for GKnot rippers rather then AutoGK...i hope this'll be the last time i ask dumb questions :P

thanx in advance, forgive the newbie in me

ITU resize is automatically disabled if original AR is selected, so you might as well turn it off (I found a bug in subs area because of that).

i set all the settings the way i mentioned earlier...on both my computer and standalone player this widescreen movie turned into a fullscreen?

I don't understand the question. What are you trying to do and why do you need original anamorphic encodings anyway?
