How can I split the video, audio and sub streams keeping everything on sync? I'have tried demuxing them and splitting using boissoft avi splitter but even tought I have used the same miliseconds they are something like 0.1 to 1.5s desynchronized. I can remux with manual correction but is there a way to split keeping the sync?

virtualdubmod for supported streams, else mkvmerge for other matroska files

Two little problems:

1- IT's splitting just the first audio stream and the video stream, no second audio and no subs.

2- It never splits in the exact point I wish to, it's always cutting 1/2 to 1s before the point.

what is "IT" Mkvmerge or Vdubmod ?

The video will still have to be cut at keyframes and if I am correct it will take the 1st one before your selection. That will explain why your file is being cut before your point specified.

If using vdubmod to split file , it doesn't support alot of formats including subs.

Mkvmerge cuts wonderfully and I never had synch/stream issues. If your not using it plz try it, Its one great lil app :)

As for cutting Ogm's I do recall OGMuxerGUI has a split at size MB option and will support this task.

:( :( :( :(

Mkvmerge is cutting 3s after the point (too much), and VDM is cutting 1s before which is OK.

Are you splitting in K? or in M
mkvmerge lets you split in G (gigabytes), M (megabytes) and K (kilobytes)
obviously K is more precise than M. Remember it's all in 1024 multiples.

As to split by time, it can be precised in seconds (s)

Though if vdub accepts your streams, then all is well anyway

By time or by size and the same happens. I want to cut at 00:03:22 but Mkvmerge insists on cutting at 00:03:29, 00:03:13 or some seconds after 00:03:29.

As for the OGM, the OGMuxergui is cutting out the second audio and sub streams too.

You can not split a file if there is no keyframe for the video. mkvmerge know this and therefore chose another time.

I was wrong :P In fact, all the streams ARE THERE where they should be, Media player classic wasn't showing the second audio option and subs because of missconfigs.

Is there a way to add keyframes?

you can set a zone in xvid, ticking start with keyframe or whatever it says, but you'll have to reencode.
