I saw some comercial dvds having audio tracks with different bitrate staying in the menus within the same VTS. But as I know, this will cause an error under Scenarist.
Does this situation avoid the DVD specification? If I tricked Scenarist to make such a DVD, would it cause problem at some dvd players?

Warner Bros. DVDs do this. You can ifoedit Scenarist Authored DVDs to re-create that effect. Or you can just add dummy audio tracks so Scenarist doesn't complain. Have a pre-command setting the correct audio track and then a post command setting the audio track back to it's original state.

You can use dummy tracks then set the decoded audio strea in each pgc so you dont have to mess with addtl pre/post commands.

If you work from a script, scenarist will believe anything that's in the script iirc. So if you tells scenarist the bitrates are the same, while in fact they are not, it won't complain.
And working with dummies and editing streams numbers in ifoedit afterwards also works of course.

Thx for all the replies. It seems that making such dvd is safe to play on stand alones.
