first of all, thx a 1000000 for new release!
but why does rb open ie to check for newest version?
my default browser is firefox.

DVD-RB just calls Explorer with the URL, which, thoretically, in turn should call the default browser.... are you surprised that it doesn't? They didn't become Microsoft by playing fair... ;)

and probably you have the same feeling after that 8.3-nightmare

Was that odd, or what? I can understand why they could assign any sequence to the short filename because there is a limited number of choices -- but why in hell would the randomly created short filename match a directory lookup (which by the way returns long filenames)???
Interestingly if I displayed the returned name during lookups -- it was the long filename. If lamser hadn't found that I probably never would have thought to look at the short filenames... bless his immortal soul.
