Hi there!
I'm playing with Big Fish when I realized some of the subpictures (made by VSConv) looks like cropped (a little from the text's bottom and/or from side missing). First I used ScenAid's (1.5b45) VSConv, then the original 1.0.0.6 version but I got the same result. Then I tried SubRip. It made everything fine (except some color settings). I hope someone can correct this.
And a little question: where can I find which colors (from the palette) use by a title or PGC?

well, iirc you can use the freeware version of menuedit to find the subpic colours. also the information can be found in vobedit. perhaps even pgc_edit has this function now ....
anyways, as for your vsconv issue, can you please provide some additional details.
eg, region of disc
any pre-processing done
etc etc
can you also attach a .bmp of the vsconv generated subs, that clearly shos this "cropping" and a subrip .bmp to compare to
cheers

Thanks for your answer and for the tips...
About the Bigfish movie: R2, PAL. I used DoItFast4U 1.4.7 for demuxing, and I'm not did any special preprocess steps. DIF uses that vsconv and vsrip which installed by ScenAid v1.5b45. VSRip done its job well, I watched the demuxed idx/sub with SubResync (included with VobSub 2.23) Vsconv cropped 1-2 pixel thick line from the bottom and from the sides. It affects E2 edge, maybe E1 edge of the text too. SubRip worked fine from the same idx/sub. So that's why I think that vsconv crops a little bit more...
Anyway, I do not understand why vsconv and subrip make cropping. From SubResync it seem to me cropping is unnecessary. But I'm not know much about it so it's only an opinion :)
Unfortunatelly I can't send samples because my computer has some technical issues and I cannot reach my Samsung HDD...maybe at the weekend I'll take it to one of my friend and then I will send some samples.
This was the first movie where I found this 'crop thing', till this everything seem to be fine.
Thanks again, bye!

Finally here are the samples:
VSConv generated subpic (http://yerodin.freeweb.hu/03_eng_vc_0011_v001_c001.bmp)
SubRip generated subpic (http://yerodin.freeweb.hu/03_eng_sr.11.bmp)
I looked the vsconv subpics closer and I have to correct myself, only the E2 edge of the text affected.
If you need something else, let me know.
Cheers!
