Encode only certain scenes for a Best Of

I'm looking for the easiest way to encode specific scene's off my dvd's to make a sort of "Best Of" compelation to be stored on my HTPC. Would like to make the resolution all the same for every encode and convert the ac3 to mp3 audio.

DVD Decrypter, you can choose chapters.

Anyway to do it shorter than that, sometimes things last less than a whole chapter.

Yeah use DGIndex to extract a shorter clip.
Use the button [ to mark start and the button ] to mark end.
Use Besweet to encode audio to mp3.
Use GKnot to make same resolution.

thank you, I was hoping for something like AutoGK with just an insert time code option but this will do fine.
